SCN took its entire staff and the members of its board to
Beaver Creek Ranch for the “Horses Can Teach” workshop. As a corporation we are committed to
professional development and have participated in countless workshops over the
years. The equine learning program was,
in our experience, the most effective group workshop experience SCN has ever
had. “Not only was it a beautiful
setting, but it provided an intensive experience for self-examination and
team-building that has immediate application to the workplace.” said SCN’s
President and CEO, Ken Alecxe. “You can also be guaranteed that the lessons
learned through equine interaction will be extremely memorable.
In my career I
have been to a hundred professional and management development workshops, most
of which have become a vague memory.
This is one training and development experience I will vividly
remember.” Our staff and board members were fully engaged in the training and
everyone came away with at least one critical insight for successful teambuilding

I felt that dealing with the horses really makes a person pay a lot more attention to detail, and learn to use patience, when dealing with others. The activity we went through showed us that you had to gain another’s trust and still be firm in order to lead. |
